Big-time Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan, who was behind blockbusters like ‘Pretty Woman’ and ‘Fight Club’, admitted that for decades he worked as an Israeli spy.

He also confirmed rumors that he dealt arms, and said that he was proud to have served his country.

The specific agency he worked for was the Bureau of Scientific Relations. Their focus was to acquire intelligence about technologies that would be helpful in developing defense initiatives.

Milchan began working with them in the 1960s. The agency was shuttered in 1987.

He opened his highly successful film company New Regency Productions, in the 70s.

It’s not as if he was never suspected – there were plenty of rumors circulating.

According to Milchan, one of his biggest challenges over the years was convincing potential partners that he was not selling weapons.

Celebrities who worked with Milchan over the years have come forward to discuss their interactions with the man.

Robert DeNiro said, “I had heard, but I wasn’t sure. I did ask him once and he told me that he was an Israeli and, of course, he would do these things for his country.”
