Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - How do I ask for more in my relationship? - I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years now. In the beginning I saw a lot of promise. Now, after nearly 4 years of having to help him financially, him filing bankruptcy, barely able to pay his bills (all because his failing business) I'm starting to question if its even logical to think there could be a future with us so far as marriage is concern. We both love each other very much, but the hopes I once had about marriage in the future and building a life together just doesn't seem likely now. Recently, there has also been a change in his living arrangements; his son had to move in with him - that's another long story in itself, but bottom line I just don't see where I fit in his life anymore. I'm 41, have a great career, regaining my financial security (which was once lost because I always had to bail him out financially), and am ready to settle down. But honestly he has so many problems to deal with I just don't think it can happen. How can I talk to him about this tactfully? He is EXTREMELY sensitive to any type of criticism and becomes pretty defensive. I do love him and want to be with him, but I just feel with all that he probably can't even picture the type of future that I'm looking for. He's told me before that he wants the same thimgs I do,..I just want to know when or if this is going to happen. Any suggestions would be helpful. -
