Film star and WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars in this 2006 revision of the classic arcade series Spy Hunter. Nowhere To Run mixes the fast-paced racing action the series is know for with something new—on-foot missions that include melee combat and third-person shooting elements. The Rock stars as Alex Decker, a spy who evidently has a background in professional wrestling. Players can stun their opponent with a heavy punch and then apply wrestling moves from The Rock’s actual move set. You can even perform Rocky’s finishing move, the Rock Bottom! When you’re not laying the smackdown with your fists, you’re driving insane vehicles that are more in line with the Spy Hunter tradition. Cars can transform into boats in midair, before splashing into a river and continuing to blow things up. The driving portions are a fast-paced break from the slower on-foot missions and a real highlight of the game. Spy Hunter: Nowhere To Run is a single-player experience. This video review features video gameplay footage of Spy Hunter: Nowhere To Run for the Xbox and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
