A Shatabdi Express train headed for New Delhi left on schedule however it departed without taking its passengers along.

Traveling on a train isn’t the quickest or the most luxurious way to go, however it will get a person from point A to B without too much trouble….usually at least.

A Shatabdi Express train headed for New Delhi recently departed from the Bhopal railway. It left on schedule, at 2:45 pm, however it departed without taking its passengers along.

As soon as the green light hit, the train cab took off. A short time later, the driver noticed that the car was not attached. About 65 feet down the track is when the operator caught the mistake.

The train was forced to continue down the track to get back to the chassis, which was filled with angry passengers. Once the driver returned, the back portion of the train was properly attached, however the mishap caused a delay of about a half hour.

According to authorities at the station, the engine was attached to the car, but the hook somehow got detached. The railway master was contacted for clarification but he didn't comment about the incident.
