When it comes to beer, there’s a never ending selection of flavors, ensuring that almost any drinker will be satisfied. Even those who enjoy a little taste of space now have a beer especially tailored to fit their desires.

The Delaware based, Dogfish Head Brewery recently created what is called the Celest-Jewel-Ale. The beer is made from lunar meteorites. The process behind the drink is quite elaborate, requiring the crushing of meteorites to form a type of dust.

Classified as moon dust, it’s comprised mostly of salt and minerals, which assist in the yeast-induced fermentation methods. The company partnered with ILC Dover, a design and development business which makes spacesuits for NASA, to get a hold of the lunar meteorites.

According to the brewers, the Celest-Jewel-Ale has “notes of doughy malt, toasted bread, subtle caramel and a light herbal bitterness.”

The Celest-Jewel-Ale will only be available on a limited basis at the Dogfish brew pub.

So what do you think? Are you game for space beer?
