In a disturbing and baffling report, a man shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself after trying out for the game show, Family Feud.

Marcus T. Crosby who worked as a Joliet Central High School security guard, had returned home only hours after trying out for the show.

His wife, 35-year-old Kearra Hosey did not go with the rest of the family to take part in the program try out. The couple reportedly began arguing in the bedroom.

According to a Will County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, deputies were en route to the residence after a 911 call came in past midnight from a woman who claimed her husband was threatening her with a firearm. When cops arrived at the home, they found both Hosey and Crosby shot in a rear bedroom.

The couple, who had just been married in the Spring of this year, was pronounced dead at the scene. A family member described the pair's relationship stating “They had their ups and downs, like any marriage. But nothing this extreme.”

However records indicate deputies were also sent to the residence in September 2012 for a dispute.
