Piglet Gets New Life After Falling From Truck Heading Towards Slaughterhouse

Quebec provincial police discovered a piglet wandering along the side of a highway on a recent Wednesday night.
Usually falling out of a moving vehicle would never be considered a good thing, but for one little piglet it turned out to be a miracle.
The truck the animal fell from was heading to a slaughterhouse.
Quebec provincial police discovered the piglet wandering along the side of a highway on a recent Wednesday night. A transport truck had been driving along the route when the pig crawled through a hole and fell out the back.
Thankfully, the people who were driving behind the truck witnessed the incident and called police. Animal control officers were then dispatched to the scene for assistance.
The piglet was soon sent off to the Wishing Well animal sanctuary, which is located north of Toronto. Now named Yoda, the animal sanctuary permanently adopted the pig.
A spokesperson at the facility stated “He's just going to live the rest of his, god willing, long life. And will be happy with the other pigs and all the attention. There is always somebody on the farm, and he will just be loved for the rest of his natural life.”
Yoda has also received a clean bill of health.
