31-year-old Joshua Woods got a little more than he bargained for when he reeled in a heavy sock, which contained a wallet inside.

When fishing, it's not uncommon to find much more than just fish.

Recently 31-year-old Joshua Woods from Wisconsin reeled in a heavy sock while fishing which contained a wallet inside. He immediately noticed it was stuffed full of cards, so he took a photo of the wallet and posted it on Facebook.

Woods also did a little digging, Googling the name, but he soon realized there were too many people in the local area that shared the same information. Luckily several of wallet owner’s friends on Facebook contacted Wood.

Soon, the social media site helped connect Woods with a man named Jesse Gomez. According to Gomez, his wallet had been stolen three years prior on a night when he had been DJ'ing karaoke.

Gomez had already pressed charges against the wallet thieves, who were able to steal all his cash and max out his credit cards before being caught. But through all the negativity, Woods’ kind deed proved to Gomez that there are good people in the world only looking to do the right thing.
