Woman Allegedly Baked Cupcakes for Neighbor Before Stealing His Car

A 23-year-old woman in Fair Lawn, New Jersey has been accused of baking cupcakes in an effort to get in her neighbor’s good graces so she could steal his belongings.

Good food is irresistible for many reasons. A 23-year-old woman in Fair Lawn, New Jersey has been accused of baking cupcakes in an effort to get in her neighbor’s good graces so she could steal his belongings.

According to police, the female suspect, Shannon Henry went to her neighbors house, armed with sweet baked goods.

She had been to the male neighbor’s house before to borrow money. The unsuspecting man let her in the home. The male didn’t notice something was wrong until the next day.

That’s when he discovered a bowl of change with an estimated value of about $10 was missing. After looking around the house a little more thoroughly, the male homeowner discovered his car, a 2010 Kia Sedan, was missing from the garage.

Henry’s neighbor called police. Officers later found the vehicle parked in a lot belonging to a nearby church. When Henry was questioned, she reportedly confessed to swiping the man’s keys and taking his car.

She was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary and two counts of theft.
