Doctors Without Borders to quit Somalia

Medecins Sans Frontieres, the medical charity, is to pull out of Somalia because of attacks on its staff.

Sixteen MSF members have been killed since 1991 when civil war erupted but today the risk of violence has been described as 'intolerable'.

The withdrawal is a blow for the hundreds of thousands who rely on the organisation as a lifeline .
