President of EPP Manfred Weber invites Hungarian newcomer Tisza into fold

Manfred Weber, the president of the European People's Party, extended the welcome to the centrist Tisza after meeting with its leader Peter Magyar, and its members in Budapest.

00:23of Hungary, and I saw a lot of very qualified personalities and I will report back to the

00:31I guess when I see what is reality here on the ground, that the seven colleagues are

00:36welcomed in the EPP group, so the door is open.

00:39Tisza party vice president Peter Magyar said at the joint press conference this was the

00:44beginning of a fruitful European friendship.

00:47He stressed, however, that his MEPs may be critical of quote sensitive issues, but did

00:52not disclose the exact issues.

00:54We discussed the technical aspects and the technical aspects of the joint work, and next

00:59week we are going to Brussels and two MEPs are already sitting there.

01:03This has become the biggest faction in the European Parliament, with all kinds of contradictory

01:09statements.

01:10Compared to the government's statements, the right-wing party won the European Parliamentary

01:15elections.

01:16It is an indispensable member of the European People's Party for the EU resolution.

01:21Tisza MEPs would join the parliamentary group, but not the alliance itself.
