Sholay 3D To Release On Amitabh Bachchan's Birthday

According to sources, the 3D version of the 1975 Bollywood cult-classic film 'Sholay' will release on the megastar Amitabh Bachchan's 71st birthday itself, which is on October 11, 2013.
A source close to the project reveals that the date was specifically chosen as it coincides with Bachchan`s big day.
Producer Jayantilal Gada will distribute the 3D version of 'Sholay'. The movie is being again revived, where it is quite famous for the bond of friendship between characters of Jai and Veeru, which was portrayed flawlessly by the iconic actors Amitabh and Dharmendra respectively.
'Sholay', directed by Ramesh Sippy, also featured Hema Malini, who played the role of Basanti, along with Amjad Khan, who essayed the role of villain Gabbar Singh, and Sanjeev Kumar, who enacted the role of Thakur in the film.
