Have you ever wanted to own a lighthouse?

The General Services Administration, or GSA working with the United States government is auctioning off the Graves Island Light Station that is located near the coast of Boston, Massachusetts.

There have been five offers so far, and the highest bid is currently for around 110 thousand dollars.

The lighthouse is 110 years old, and 113 feet high, making it the tallest lighthouse in Boston Harbor.

Whoever wins the auction will be the new owner of not only the lighthouse, but also the 10 acres of land that surround it, along with the dock and oil house.

The electricity in the lighthouse is run on solar power.

There are two bedrooms, but no clean running water and no bathroom in the lighthouse.

The terms of sale also state that “the United States shall have the right to enter the Property at any time for the purpose of maintaining the navigational aids" and "the right to utilize the fog signal horn at any time and in any manner it deems necessary.”

The auction is ending on August 6th.
