Luxurious settings are appreciated so much more within the confines of plane.

DesignworksUSA, a subsidiary of BMW Group, was tasked with revamping Singapore Airlines first class passenger area.

Their design was unveiled recently, and it showed that the team didn’t take the word luxury lightly.

Of course, the greatest indulgence on any plane is lush personal space, and the first class cabin offers it in spades.

An obviously lavish expanse of individual territory is the 35-inch seats that fold out into 82-inch beds, complete with padded headboard and 24 inch viewing monitor.

More subtle but also impressive is the carving out of private niches throughout the cabin. Each passenger is tucked into an environment distinct from the others.

Each little domain is outfitted with an array of electronics ports, entertainment options, a moveable table, and a variety of storage cubbies.

The seat itself is pretty impressive, too. It’s covered in leather, but a new technique that keeps it smooth and pristine it was employed.

The color scheme is a soothing medley of browns and grays.

How do you like it?
