Those bathroom urges can sometimes strike at the worst possible time.

A 21-year-old man named Kevin Nam has been charged with trespassing after he defecated in a booth located in the Holland Tunnel.

In an even more embarrassing twist, Port Authority police actually witnessed Nam and caught him red-handed during the act. The Westbound lanes at the Holland Tunnel were shut down for several minutes following the incident for what authorities called a “standardized security sweep”.

Nam, from California was reportedly in a car with a few other occupants when he claimed to feel sick. He asked the driver to stop so he could get out.

Security footage caught Nam walking through the tunnel and entering a booth. His chosen spot was exactly the place where police busted him in the act.

The Holland Tunnel definitely wouldn’t be considered an ideal bathroom for those seeking privacy. According to Port Authority officials, the tunnel carries roughly 100,000 vehicles per day.

Since it opened to traffic in 1927, the tunnel has seen over 1.5 billion automobiles.
