Reportedly things had the potential to get heated at the G8 summit when Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin requested exclusive gym rights for the same time slot.

They both wanted to have their morning workouts in the host resort’s facilities, but neither of them wanted to do it with each other around.

Both are known for their commitment to fitness, so neither backed down, but eventually the privilege went to Obama, since his people asked first.

Undaunted, the Russian leader opted to go for a morning swim in a nearby chilly lake.

In another head-to-head G8 standoff it was UK Prime Minister David Cameron who got the drop on Obama in an impromptu painting battle.

The two were at a Northern Ireland primary school where the picture they were finishing together became a bit of a battleground.

The President teased the Prime Minister asking, “Do you think you can handle this David?”

Apparently he could as it was reported Cameron finished his section first, and he did a better job at staying in the lines.
