On a recent Tuesday morning, police received a call regarding a male haphazardly mowing his neighbors' grass. The drunken man claimed he was using the mower to chase a gopher.

For most people, early mornings consist of drinking coffee and getting ready for the day ahead. One man in Mason City, Iowa opted to do some yard work and allegedly chase a gopher.
At a little after 7 A.M. on a recent Tuesday morning, local police received a call regarding a male pushing a lawn mower. He wasn’t mowing his own yard at the time, but instead, he was cutting the neighbors’ grass, leaving uneven lines and marks on the properties.

An officer located the suspect at his own home on South Monroe Avenue. As an excuse for his odd behavior and the haphazard grass trimming jobs, the man claimed he was using the mower to chase a gopher.

The cop sensed the male had been drinking. Luckily he was a nice officer. The gopher-chasing man was told to stay inside of his own home until he sobered up.

By the way, gophers are a common sight in the US and there are 100 different types in the country.
