Welcome to Shalom -- an elegant, privately run care home situated on the outskirts of Norwich and overlooking the picturesque Yare Valley.
At Shalom we provide specialist care for older people with dementia within a warm, homely atmosphere. Our experienced team works closely with residents and their families to create personalised care plans focussing on unique needs, interests, choices and values.
We actively encourage our residents to stay as independent as possible and our Activities Coordinator organises many different events and pastimes to promote wellbeing. We always have a big, friendly welcome ready for residents' families, friends and all other visitors.
Shalom currently caters for 25 residents within an attractive period property bordered by two secure gardens, featuring a fountain and mature trees. We are set far back from the road yet close to local amenities, and have recently been granted planning permission to build an additional seven bedrooms. Unlike larger homes we don't have vast clinical areas that can confuse the elderly; instead room sizes are more in keeping with those our residents have been accustomed to in their own homes.
Our aim is to provide a caring, happy and stimulating atmosphere in the spirit of companionship, security and independence, whilst respecting residents' privacy and dignity at all times
