The owner of a New York based food shop, Wesley Klein is the mastermind behind the creation. The goal of the store called Baconery is to unite bacon and sweets in a unique merging.
Klein stated “Like a mad scientist, I spent months in the kitchen with breakfast chefs, pastry chefs, and more, until we stumbled upon the exact formula for infusing these two ingredients into the perfect culinary combination.”
The newest item at the shop is the 23k Gold Chocolate Bacon, which is derived from semi-sweet dark chocolate, cherrywood bacon and of course 23k edible gold flakes. The combination is available online, starting at $39.99 for the smallest pack.
