Music production seems to be second nature for producer Sweetz Got Beatz as he prepares for an industry takeover. Born David Djoho in Congo, Africa, his family moved to Charlotte, NC when he was thirteen years-old. Shortly, after being in the United States, his calling for music was apparent as he immersed himself in Hip-Hop culture. Growing up he was influenced by Timbaland, Pharrell, and Swizz Beatz, which he credits for the name “Sweetz Got Beatz.” He began using Cakewalk in 2005 and eventually started producing for local artists. Sweetz describes his sound as an “eclectic mixture of down-south, rock, pop, and synths.” Currently, he is building up a solid track-list and working with many recording artists, including Jetarika Shardae, Fatigue, and King Kun of the label From the Ground Up/Sony, Big Dreek, of Southern Boy Entertainment, and a few others. “Music is a universal language and through it, I can impact and change the lives of others in a positive way,” states the talented producer. Don’t underestimate Sweetz because he’s definitely on the rise.
