Rosso & Bianco Movie Contest
@RossoBiancoTheater
The First Annual Francis Ford Coppola Presents
Rosso & Bianco Theater Movie Contest
We are seeking your one-minute movies that celebrate the spirit of Rosso & Bianco, "Wine for Everyday Life," in an official contest where the final judges include Francis Ford and Eleanor Coppola. Still frames from winning films will be featured on Rosso & Bianco wine labels, and the Grand Prize winner will also receive a title page of a script signed and dedicated by Francis Ford Coppola. The contest runs March 1 -- April 15, 2007.
What is the contest about?
Rosso & Bianco are wines for everyday life and we are looking for short movies that represent that idea. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges which includes award-winning director Francis Ford Coppola. These movies of one minute or less may be funny, sad, nostalgic, whimsical or ludicrous. They may be set anywhere and portray wine and family, friends and lovers, weddings, anniversaries, parties, birthdays or otherwise. The emphasis should be on interesting and charismatic people. Of course dialogue is fine, but the visuals and personality of the people are of great importance. Consumption of the product and/or having the product in your movie is not necessary and will not increase your chance of winning; however, you may include product imagery if it is in the best interest of your movie and the personalities involved.
How is the contest judged?
All submissions will be initially judged by an independent preliminary panel of judges and the submissions shall be individually ranked according to the following judging criteria:
• 34% LIFE: The movie catches life and is alive. Characters demonstrate personality.
• 33% INNOVATION: Creativity
• 33% UNIQUENESS: Provides the judges with something they have not seen before.
The top 50 contestants with the highest overall scores, as determined by a preliminary panel of judges, will become finalists. Ten Finalists will be selected as winners by a panel of final judges which includes Francis Ford Coppola.
