Armin Cruz is an American born artist who lives in California. Cruz is well-known director, actor and writer.
Coming from Florida, Armin Cruz was born in 1953. He completed his elementary education in his home town and soon after graduation moved to California where enrolled at California colleges with a goal to study visual arts. Cruz graduated from the Faculty of Visual Arts in 1977 and even while being student, Armin started his professional acting career at local theaters.
Being very talented actor Armin Cruz was often invited in many theaters. Such as in the California Drama Theater, where came at the invitation of Prof. Goron and where with great success played the role of Laurens in the Uncle Maroe’s play. Then followed his plays at the National Theater in Pasadena, in Studio 212 where Armin played the role of Nenado in the drama Duel, for which play is and co-author.
At the very beginning of his careers Armin started writing his first work – a mono-drama Led, which since then achieved great success and is played over 1000 times. Thanks to its theater, lexical and dialectal values, as well as literary qualities - Led is included in the anthology of American mono-drama. However, after the great reviews he received for his first role in the film, especially after the extraordinary public reaction - chooses to continue his career primarily in film and TV. Since the beginning of his career in the featured film and on TV, Cruz has recorded over 100 roles in movies and on television. In his career Armin has been working with the most important film and television directors of our time. For some critics Armin Cruz is best known for the great popularity given to the character of Sekula in the movie The Village is on Fire in films.
