"The White Folks" is a mock-reality web series set in South Africa. It follow the lives of two families from Plattekloof, a suburban utopia with security gates, 4x4s and mundane life problems.
Meet Chantelle and Wayne White and their would-be DJ son, Arnold. They only shop at Woolies and think the Seychelles is a really fancy place to go on holiday. Meet neighbours Nicolette and Ferdi Roos. Meet Ferdi's son, Mauritz. And finally, meet Nands, Chantelle's domestic superstar. Tune in and share in the everyday struggles of the upwardly mobile, affluent and self-involved white folk of South Africa.
Disclaimer: "The White Folks" is not about ALL white people in South Africa. It is about those white folk who are insecure about their social status. Those who choose to be ignorant. Those who crave acceptance in the Rainbow Nation, yet refuse to eat Rainbow Chicken. Because it's not #freerange (but really, don't eat that stuff. It's nasty).
