POL THE FISHERMAN

Introducing POL THE FISHERMAN, Franco-American rock group founded in 2007 whose debut album, The Greatest Hits, blows one away with progressive guitar sounds accompanied by soulful and melodic vocals with a clear nod to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill and other old school bands.

Lyrics deal with real life issues such as addiction, gangs, love, death, but viewed through rose-colored lenses. Eccentric, light-hearted and refreshing, Insane Girlfriend draws one into the schizophrenic musical world of today’s youth, and makes one feel sort of like Pokemon on speed flying through a sci-fi rock wonderland.

HISTORY
POL THE FISHERMAN was formed in Paris in 2007 and was well received very quickly; they appeared on the French music television show "Taratata" (channel France 4) in 2009. Following their live performance on national television, POL THE FISHERMAN has played numerous gigs in France prior to relocating to New York in 2010. The group also appeared on Paris Dernière, an underground show on Parisian nightlife on TV channel Paris Première, as well as on radio station Ouï FM 102.3 and web radio station Click ‘n’ Rock. The band’s composition "A New Life", has now become one of Click ‘n’ Rock’s principle jingles.
