Kael, a pure‑blood ape slave, is sentenced to be burned alive in the mine for trying to escape human bondage. At the brink of death, his ancient heritage awakens: the Blood Contract, a power that lets him absorb and master any skill from any living being — swordsmanship, dragon fire, beast strength, even holy church magic.
Barely escaping destruction, Kael takes hold of a cursed abandoned wasteland called Ashfall.
