In the kingdom of Aethelgard, where men bow and women rule, Princess Valerie, the ruthless Goddess of War, seeks revenge. To humiliate the enemy who once bested her on the battlefield, she takes the legendary Valdorian Warlord as her consort. But the seemingly submissive man at her side is not who he claims to be. He is Caspian Vale, the twin brother of her enemy, and a Blood Proxy forced since childhood to bear every wound, every poison, every agony meant for his sibling.
