Joelle believed her husband wanted nothing more than to get rid of her. He demanded divorce again and again, flaunted a pregnant mistress, and even drugged her before sending her back to the ex she once loved. Only after her tragic death did she learn the truth. There was never another woman. Every betrayal was a lie, every cruel word a performance, because Sutton was dying of terminal cancer and wanted her to hate him before he was gone.
