Set in the fictional city of Llanview, Pennsylvania One Life to Live (OLTL) continually centers on the wealthy Lord ( Erika Slezak) family, the middle-class Woleks (Judith Light), the Rileys (Lee Patterson), and the Grays (Ellen Holly). The show has been called the most peculiarly American of soap operas: the first serial to present a vast array of ethnic types, broad comic situations, a constant emphasis on social issues and the first interracial relationship.
