Having decided to take a rest and refrain from concerts throughout 2010, news of Rototom Sunsplash’s arrival in Spain soon changed their minds!
We have the honour to confirm the unique annual concert by Sergent Garcia with his collective Iyé Ifé at the festival this year. Native French-Spanish but resident in Paris, the Sergeant mixes salsa rhythms with ragga (and various other influences such as hip hop, rock and funk) creating the ‘salsamuffin’ and becoming one of the most spectacular vibes mixers around with an action and funpacked show.
The last chapter of his discography is the EP ‘Cumbiamuffin’ released last year. Guest starring other artists – namely Alberto Gambino, Chando and Supa Bassie, among the greatest vocalists of the Spanish reggae scene – Sergent Garcia & Collective Iyé Ifé will be part of one big roots, dancehall, hiphop and reggaeton show to keep you one your toes!
