Mac Duggal

Fashion designer Mac Duggal was born on May 23, 1960 in New Delhi, India. Mac always had the desire to become a successful entrepreneur. As a young man he developed a passion for fashion often spending countless days and nights sketching and drawing women’s evening wear. Arriving in the United States at the age of 23, Macs first design was an A-line ballgown with tulle on the outside and hand painted subtle stars in the lining. He called it the "wish upon a star gown" and luckily, instantly, it was a huge success and the silhouette is still a best selling classic today.

His first collection launched in 1985 and won international acclaim. His success has continued over the past 25 years including receiving the DIVA 1998 Fashion Award for Designer of The Year in the Prom/Pageant category along with several other awards. Macs designs have been worn by celebrities and socialites in television, movies, pageants and the music industry. In addition Macs designs have been showcased in high end department stores and upscale boutiques throughout the United States and Europe and are regularly featured in fashion publications.

Mac currently resides in the Chicagoland area and is happily married to his wife Bubbly of 25 years. They have two children Daughter Ieena who is currently studying at Parsons the New School of Design, and son Yuvraj who is a high school student.
