As a teenager, Kayle Watson wanted to serve and protect his community. During his summer break, he was able to become a lifeguard at various local swim clubs. He was able to keep calm and help in emergencies by training in CPR and first aid. He was always ready to take on the responsibility of protecting others. Throughout his life, Kayle has been dedicated to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He started playing basketball when he was six years old, and then, after six years, he decided to switch to rowing. This sport requires a lot of physical fitness and mental toughness. The foundation he gained from lifeguarding helped him make the transition.

Aside from being able to test his mental and physical limits, rowing has also taught Kayle about being a cohesive unit. The Maritime Rowing club in Norwalk, CT is where he spends most of his free time. During practice, Kayle works with instructors who are dedicated to helping people of all ages improve their rowing skills. As a part of the club's high school program, he is able to participate in a national program that has produced some of the world's best rowers.

During the winter, Kayle Watson trains in an indoor tank and participates in competitive events. The past members of the club have gone on to become international champions. He has also learned a lot from other sports, such as basketball and lifeguarding, which will benefit him in the future. Some of the skills that he has developed from these activities include being able to manage his time and being a leader. Aside from competing, Kayle is also heavily involved in various charitable organizations. One of his favorite organizations is the K9 Fund, which was established by a former military K9 handler. This organization was established to help raise awareness for the work of service dogs.
