Golden Isles Belly Dance was founded by Elena Markina-Harrison, aka Lena Mikado, an author and belly dancer, back in 2007 in Raleigh, NC. Ever since then, Elena has been teaching at a number of amazing studios in St. Simons Island, GA, until she finally found her "dancing haven" in quaint downtown Brunswick.
Golden Isles Belly Dance is not just a dance school - it's a tribe. This is where girls and women of all ages and from all walks of life come to relax, unwind, wear a ton of sparkly stuff and have a lot of fun!
