Andrei Rosca (born July 31, 1988 in Ploiesti, Romania), known by his stage name Drei Ros, is a European hip-hop artist. Andrei and his parents immigrated to the United States, seeking greater opportunity, planted their roots in Seattle, Washington when he was 16.With English being second to his native Romanian dialect, his passion created a strong desire to learn the language. He quickly became acclimated to urban culture, immersing himself in music & developing an unwavering love for hip-hop; an infatuation which would later lead to his musical career.

EARLY LIFE AND INFLUENCES

Drei developed his lyrical talents at an early age. His youthful ears welcomed the beats of hip-hop as the free style rhymes began to flow through the microphone. His ability to incorporate the English language with Romanian flavor allowed him to diversify himself and become the first Romanian rapper to showcase his skills internationally.
Enthralled in the lyrical flair of various hip-hop legends, Drei drew melodic inspiration from; Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Wu-Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes, DMX and other awe-inspiring rap artists of the 90′s. His poetic creations materialized in his adolescence while in Romania and Drei carried his rhythmic writing in English as he and his family settled in the United States.
In 2004, Drei returned to Ploiesti to take care of his father during the last stages of his battle with liver cancer. The loss of his father emerged emotions that cultivated into verses that flowed in the studio throughout one of the most pivotal moments in his career. Overwhelmed with emotion, Drei conveyed his musical expression through his countless poetic ballads, that later turned into his first album, “Intre Viata si Moarte” (Between Life and Death). Drei honored and dedicated the album to his father, who passed before the record was completed. The material was never official released.

The summer of 2009 sizzled when Drei teamed up with fellow rap artists Burre Collins (Tacoma, WA) and Dyce Dylli (Inglewood, CA). The trio combined their talents and formed the group B.O.S.S.
