Pablo A. Medina is a first-time filmmaker who started his career as a graphic designer. Design served as a platform for his obsession with culture which led him to his interest in non-fiction filmmaking. His work has been exhibited at The Museum of Modern Art, NY, The Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt Museum and The Chelsea Art Museum. He serves on the faculty of Parsons The New School for Design as Assistant Professor in Communication Design. By traveling to the Dominican Republic to teach summer workshops at Altos de Chavón, La Escuela de Diseño, he facilitated the making of his first film, “El Play.”
