Musician Richard Reale was among the audience at Shen Yun Performing Arts final show at Lincoln Center in New York.

[Richard Reale, Musician]:
“Spectacular. Absolutely spectacular. The first time that we were here. You learnt so much from the culture of China, just by seeing what we just witnessed, which was impeccable…First of all the special effects were tremendous, absolutely tremendous. The fact that someone can be lifted up wherever they were representative of the hereafter. And then come back down, and it was an absolutely wonderful device [the digital backdrop]. Secondly I had picked up on the dances and how as it was later explained to me, how skating for example, I know what a double cow-cow is, and I know what a flying camel is, and to see it, and I then opened my eyes, to the fact it had to have started in China. Was incredible to me to just experience that.”

As a musician he had an appreciation for Shen Yun’s orchestra.

[Richard Reale, Musician]:
“The music that I heard today was spectacular. The different musical instruments, tremendous. I’m glad that at least it was presented and acknowledged right in the middle of it. And the hosts were perfect. What can I say? The colors, the pageantry of China, opened my eyes like I have never been open before. And I would gladly come back to see it. I’ve been to the Kennedy Center, it’s a fabulous place. I’m thrilled that you’re [Shen Yun] going to be there. Please come back soon.”
