Shen Yun Performing Arts continues to perform in Los Angeles. Here's what one pop singer is saying about the show.

Pop singer Da Shiek Woodward saw Shen Yun Performing Arts in Los Angeles, California.

Chinese classical dance is something new to this singer.

[Da Shiek Woodward, Pop Singer]:
"It’s very expressive this form of dance that I have never really seen before so it’s educational and inspiring at the same time.”

He says the show transcends language.

[Da Shiek Woodward, Pop Singer]:
“They’re very disciplined. Very structured. Very detailed. Lots of attention to detail. Lots of passion and commitment and pride. There’s a lot of pride there, too. And it’s interesting, I learned more from it, not verbally, not speaking Chinese I still gained an understanding of what the emotions are. You know that’s very powerful.”

Shiek says the show has a lot of hope.

[Da Shiek Woodward, Pop Singer]:
“There’s been happiness, sadness, a lot of hope. There’s a lot of hope in there. A lot of love. Some struggle. And like I say, with many cultures you get a commonality with that. But at the end of it all, so far, there seems to be a lot of hope.”
