The Surprise Baby Shower That Jenilee Will Never Forget (The Creation Of Us - E4)

Jenilee thinks Aydian is taking her to Naples, Florida for a visit with her Mom and to reconnect with family members that she hasn’t seen in a while. What she doesn’t know is that Aydian has planned a much bigger surprise which will bring her tears of joy.
Aydian Dowling, Trans Activist, Entrepreneur/Owner Point5cc.com, Fitness Enthusiast and Motivational Speaker, and his wife, Jenilee, were married in 2012 and continue to live and share with others the challenges of being a transgender couple, and now the excitement of expecting their first baby together.
A Baby Shower marks a special moment in the journey to begin a family, especially for a first time mom-to-be. It’s been a long time between family visits with Jenilee and Aydian living in Oregon, a long way from Jenilee’s family in Florida and Aydian’s Mom in Long Island, NY.
Although far in distance, everyone in the family has had Jenilee and Aydian on their mind. They are aware that it was not easy for Jenilee to get pregnant and everyone is excited to get together to celebrate.
“Jenilee kept getting so upset that it wasn’t working” reflected her mom, Mary Lou. “But I told her not to worry. It would all happen in perfect timing.” Mom’s confidence was prophetic and Jenilee’s patience was rewarded.
It was just as important for Aydian to have his mom, Anna Marie, at the shower, since she had always been generous with her advice and supportive of her child’s life choices. “The reason I don’t listen to all the negativity is because you taught me to be a really strong girl, and not let people downgrade who I am because of their fears,” he shared with her. “After my transition, I feel that I’ve taken that into my manhood.”
