A contractual arrangement between a pregnant woman and a childless couple causes problems for Dr Callaghan. Following a difficult birth the young mother is reluctant to relinquish her baby and Tom discovers that the station owners are not her uncle and aunt. Ron is seriously injured in a fireworks accident and Chris and Tom set tongues wagging when they arrive together at a party.
