Emma and Violet receive a warm welcome when they return to Coopers Crossing. A new radio operator joins the RFDS. New pilot Sam Patterson finds himself unpopular with Geoff when he gives a local political candidate a lift in the Nomad. When Sal Clary doesn't turn up for a clinic round, a concerned Kate is determined to find out why. Kate and Sam agree to keep whet they have learnt quiet. However, when there are some problems during the birth, things don't run as smoothly as they would want.
