Sidney Bechet composed the music and was the soloist in a ballet called “La nuit est une sorciere”. In 1953 the ballet premiered in Paris. A LP was made as well with Jacques Bazire conducting the Orchestre Symphonique. In this clip we see a short excerpt of the ballet and... of course with the sound of Bechet soprano saxophone.
