Tight like this New Black Eagle J.B. 1988

The New Black Eagle Jazz Band from Boston Mass.
In this clip recorded live during the 1988 San Diego Jazz Festival the band plays "Tight like this" in a compliment to a recording of Louis Armstrong and his Savoy Ballroom Five with Earl Hines and Don Redman recorded in December 1928.
The Black Eagles have been a fixture on the international jazz scene since 1971, bringing the happy and soulful sounds of New Orleans jazz to audiences all over the world. Many observers regard them as the premier band playing in the traditional jazz style; they regard themselves as the "Keepers of the Flame"!
This style, as performed by the Black Eagles, covers a wide range from the early New Orleans style; Chicago of the 1920's; 1930's small band jazz; the revival of the 1940's and 1950's; and original pieces written by a number of band members.
Their repertoire of over 600 numbers includes Rags by such as Scott Joplin, arranged for the band; spirituals and gospel music; old pop tunes from the start of the 20th century to the 1960's; and blues.
