ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

STORY: A British fugitive was arrested poolside in the resort town of Calpe on Friday after Spanish police raided a luxury villa in the popular tourist region of the Costa Blanca.

Police identified the man as 31-year-old Andrew Terence Moran, one of the UK's most wanted criminals.

Moran was sought by British police for the armed robbery of a Royal Mail van carrying 25,000 British pounds (38,000 US dollars).

Moran made a dramatic escape while on trial, leaping from the dock and assaulting a security guard during his trial in 2009.

The arrest in Calpe was a joint operation between Spanish and British police.
