Bangalore, the country's IT capital, which has been in the terror shadow for long. The city has seen four terror strikes so far, starting with the attack on Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 2005, the 2008 serial blasts, the Chinnaswamy Stadium explosions and the latest blast (2013) near the BJP office at Malleshwaram. Terror struck the city on April 17, 2013 ahead of the May 5th Assembly elections when a low-intensity bomb exploded near the bustling BJP city office in a busy residential area injuring at least 16 people, including 11 policemen. Banned terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM), responsible for bombings in different parts of the country, was suspected to be behind the blast. The IM operatives on the run - Yasin Bhatkal, Waqas, Tabrez and Bada Sajid - could be behind the blasts.
