A hashtag led some Twitter users to mistakenly believe that singer Cher had died. After news broke that former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher had died, the hashtag "#nowthatchersdead" popped up on Twitter. Lots of folks misread the hashtag to mean Cher had died, which, of course, she didn’t.
