"The word "Raaga" means Love, "Raaga" is another name of affection. Without hymns, without music, one can't understand the true meaning of the Lord's words, because music binds everyone. When Guru Nanak used to sing in the jungles, animals too come and sit near by; it was surely His benevolence but music from Guru Nanak himself. All Sikh Satguru's have rescued music from the throes of dirty waters and gifted it to us, to bind the Lord and Sikh together...

There are 31 singing tunes, 6 singing tunes in the Raag Mala, 30 melodies and further 48 sons of theirs in the Sri Aad Granth Sahib Ji, The Guru's treasure is like an ocean, drop by drop, little by little if we can gain something it is service onto ourselves. It is the responsibility of each Sikhs that every Sikh's children should learn a bit of music" These words of Sri Satguru Pratap Singh Ji illustrate the importance Classical Music - Raag has in the rendition of the Sikh devotional music.

Kirtan Raag is an effort to bring forth Gurbani Kirtan in its purest form of singing as well as Documentaries, Features and Short Films on the various aspects of Sikh Culture, Sikh History and Indian Classical Music.
