Kato go on search for the samurai named Masatoshi who killed his father during a brutal battle.
Saito (Kato's father) was once good friends with a young fellow but arrogant samurai named Masatoshi. Masatoshi was a close servant of the shogun. The shogun had hired him and his clan numerous times conquering other clans who opposed him.
Saito was one who never trusted the shogun but still willing serve as a true samurai where as Masatoshi was always one who was to serve his master even if it meant taking his own life.
Both Saito and Masatoshi served there lord but saito betrayed the shogun by refusing an order. The shogun was a synoptic and paranoid madman.
Because all this saito finally began to realize Masatoshi true intentions which was just to kill with out mercy or reason so saito decides to turn his back on Masatoshi and they both went there sepret ways. This is flash back story of honor revenge and betrayal.
