Aamir Khan was narrated the main role in Sudhakar Bokade's SAAJAN, directed by Lawrence D'Souza. The makers had thought of casting the two Khans for the venture [Salman had already been signed then!]. But Aamir didn't quite like the role, so the makers approached Sanjay Dutt for it and the actor [Dutt] agreed instantly
