Une première !
Un jeune aventurier, Laurent HEQUILY et une ethnologue, Monique Brandily spécialiste des nomades du Tchad, ont remporté leur pari; ouvrir les portes du Tibesti, une forteresse montagneuse interdite d'accès depuis 17 ans en raison de la guerre. La montgolfière et l'ULM de l'expédition vont permettre de constituer une banque d'images exceptionnelles. Ils vont à la rencontre d'un forgeron musicien, personnage traditionnel de la culture teda. Ils croisent des ethnies difficiles d'approche avec qui ils ont des contacts privilégiés. Après bien des difficultés et en évitant les mines, ils atteignent l'oasis de Bardaï.

A young adventurer, Laurent HEQUILY and an ethnologist, Monique BRANDILY specialised in the nomad tribes of Chad took up the challenge; that of entering the tibesti, a mountain fort cut off for 17 years because of the war. The hot air balloon and the ultra light aircraft of the expedition enabled the crew to film exceptional footage. They met a blacksmith musician, a traditional figure in Teda culture. They also met ethnic groups that have hitherto remained completely, cut off from the rest of the world. After overcoming many problems and safely crossing minefields they reached the Bardaï oasis.
