Recently announced Peats Ridge and Festival of the Sun performers Tin Sparrow have released their latest single The Beast, ahead of their upcoming weekend of headlining shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne from Thursday 25th to Saturday 27th October. Available via iTunes and Bandcamp, the thumping new track is the first release from the Sydney four-piece since their Liam Judson produced second EP, Fair & Verdant Woods in April. To record The Beast, Tin Sparrow immediately headed south after their BigSound performance to work with Big Scary's Tom Iansek as producer. The end result is a track that maintains Tin Sparrow's trademark harmonies and hooks -- but with a sense of foreboding not heard on their earlier recordings. Having toured nationally alongside Husky, Matt Corby and Boy & Bear -- this October run of headlining shows will showcase new material taken from Tin Sparrow's forthcoming third EP, which is due out in March 2013.
