Sun reporter Paul Jiggins says Chelsea should hand a contract extension to long-serving midfielder Frank Lampard.
The 34-year-old's current deal expires at the end of the season and it appears unlikely he will be offered fresh terms.
But it would be a mistake to let him go, according to Jiggins, who told H & J: "At any other club he would be cherished.
"For what he has done for the club, he deserves the offer of a new contract. To shun him out is pretty poor."
